“Images” is now accepting submissions. The theme for the Spring 2018 “Images Art & Literary Magazine” is Nostalgia. 

They will accept all literary, film, musical, and artistic submissions. The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 13 2018. Submissions can be dropped off in Mrs. Bush’s mailbox or send online submissions to [email protected]. See Mrs. Bush in room 172A for questions. In an attempt to describe the strange emotion of nostalgia, it is perhaps best named the emotion of remembrance. However, like the memories and experiences of each individual person, the word “nostalgia” can carry a different definition for different people. Does your nostalgia communicate joy in remembering the bright, warm hues of childhood? Or does it make you yearn for a simpler, happier time?

We live in a climate of constant change, for both global and individual circumstances. Since it is so easy to worry about the future, we rarely look behind ourselves instead — for in constant change, there is constantly something new to remember. We are excited to hear what you remember, and how you choose to define nostalgia. You may think about what has ended, or what has begun. You may choose to be bitter, to be sweet, or to be something in between.

There are always two sides to memories — what we leave behind and what we take with us. It is up to you to define the emotion of remembrance.

We simply encourage you to remember.
