As the end of the school year approaches, Solon Seniors look forward to Prom and all the things SHS has in store, including After Prom, an activity filled event that seniors have the ability to attend at a ticket fee of $25.

Students should arrive by 10-11 p.m. Entry will not be permitted after 12:00 p.m. Students are not permitted to leave before 2:30 a.m. Class of 24’s Prom theme is 24 carat, but this year’s After Prom theme is Travel and Adventure. This theme will include exploring different countries and getting stamps to win prizes.

Michelle Shene, the Wellness Director at SHS, has all the information on the specifics of After Prom events.

According to Shene, the After Prom will have events like Poker as well as Blackjack and Roulette. The announcer for the Cavs will be hosting karaoke.

Different restaurants have donated to After Prom in the past couple years.

“In years past [we’ve received] donations from restaurants around town like Imperial Wok, Chick-fil-A and others,” Shene said.

Upon entry, students will be breathalyzed.

Dress code to After Prom should be school appropriate– students can wear whatever they like, but shorts and tank tops are recommended.

The dressing code is “casual and pjs,” Shene said.

Sammy Taylor, a senior at SHS, expresses her excitement for After Prom.

“I’m looking forward to hanging out and seeing people before graduation and looking forward to food and activities,” Taylor said. “Praying to win a Macbook for the raffle drawing.”
