Mitchell’s is a very popular family owned and operated ice cream business. They have many varieties of flavors that many people enjoy. They have many locations throughout Cleveland, Ohio. Throughout the seasons they have different special flavors for the certain time of year. While tasting 4 of the seasonal flavors, they all had a unique taste and sweetness to each.
Autumn Caramel Apple: 7/10
The Autumn Caramel apple tastes like sweet apple cider, with crushed almonds mixed through the ice cream with a hint of caramel mixed in as well. The ice cream was one of my favorites– it had a great flavor and was super sweet. The sweetness of the caramel added a great extra taste.
Peppermint Stick: 10/10
The Peppermint stick tastes very peppermint but also super sweet. It had crushed peppermints mixed throughout the ice cream that added the extra peppermint taste. It is hard to find a good peppermint ice cream around especially because it can be rare throughout ice cream shops. It had a slight crunch and a sweet flavor.
Pumpkin: 8/10
The Pumpkin ice cream was creamy and smooth and had a great pumpkin flavor. It tasted like a cold piece of pumpkin pie. In the pumpkin, you could taste the spices that would usually be put into baking a pumpkin pie. They really captured the fall feeling in the pumpkin flavoring.
Amaretto Cookie: 6.5/10
The Amaretto Cookie ice cream tasted like one of the Amaretto cookies that my family makes around the holidays. It had a hint of honey with homemade pieces of the cookies mixed in through the ice cream. It had a thick texture to it. This type of cookie is usually made in Italy where it is one of their many desserts that are made around the holidays.
Mitchell’s ice cream seasonal flavors have truly outdone themselves this year. Every ice cream was very good and had a great taste to the flavor. Each had a unique texture and definitely brought the winter season feeling. You can’t go wrong with getting a good ice cream flavor at Mitchell’s ice cream.
