Students who received a Rising Star award for the first quarter will be served lunch in the atrium on Oct. 27. Rising Stars are selected by their teachers and given an award certificate for demonstrating academic effort, according to the Solon Academic Boosters website. There will also be a staff appreciation lunch sponsored by the PTA in the cafeteria hallway for faculty members to enjoy.
