This year, the Dunkin’ winter menu features drinks such as Peppermint Mocha Signature Latte, Toasted White Chocolate Signature Latte, Cookie Butter Cloud Latte and the Berry Sangria Refresher. Along with that, Dunkin’ released three new food items: Raspberry Striped Croissant, Ultimate Bacon Jam Breakfast Sandwich and Bacon Jam Grilled Cheese. There were also many other drinks released that can only be ordered specially on the app: The Cookie Butter Cold Brew, Toasted White Chocolate Iced Coffee, Spiced Cookie Iced Coffee, Cookie Butter Oat Iced Chai and many more. Of these items, I tried four drinks: the Peppermint Mocha Signature Latte, Cookie Butter Oat Iced Chai, Berry Sangria Lemonade Refresher and the Toasted White Chocolate Iced Coffee. Unfortunately, I was only able to try one food item, the Raspberry Striped Croissant.
Peppermint Mocha Signature Latte
This drink is a mix of espresso, peppermint mocha syrup and milk, topped with whipped cream, mocha drizzle and hot cocoa powder. Although I usually hate lattes, this drink was enjoyable. The taste is a stronger coffee flavor than peppermint mocha. I personally appreciated that the flavor was less strong because it didn’t taste like I was drinking straight sugar, which I feel like I do when I’m drinking the Starbucks Peppermint Mocha. However, I was disappointed because there were no remnants of whipped cream in my drink at all, which was promised in the description of the drink. Overall, I think the drink was good, but it could be disappointing to others due to the lack of flavor. I rate it a 7/10.
Cookie Butter Oat Iced Chai
This drink is a chai latte made with oat milk and mixed with pumps of cookie butter syrup. I was excited to hear that this drink is made with oatmilk because the whole milk from Dunkin’ usually gives me stomach problems. The drink is good, but there’s also a lot of flavor packed into a drink. To give it the best description, this chai tasted like the smell of a snickerdoodle candle from Bath and Body Works. When I first tried the drink, I thought it would be hard for me to get down just because of the flavor, and I was right. I found myself forcing myself to drink it just so it didn’t go to waste. By the time I got to a fourth of the drink left the ice had melted into water and combined with the milk. As much as I love chai, the chai was just so artificially tasting that I have to rate it a 4/10.
Berry Sangria Lemonade
This lemonade is made just like the rest of Dunkin’s lemonade refreshers– lemonade mixed with a fruity base, this base being berry sangria flavored. I can’t even express in words how much I loved this drink. When I first tried it, I wasn’t too sure, but as I kept drinking it, I began to love it. The drink reminded me of a blackberry-flavored Sparkling Ice Drink I’ve had in the past and I absolutely loved that. The lemonade paired perfectly with this drink. I think if it were just paired with water, it wouldn’t taste nearly as good as it does with lemonade. As long as the holiday menu is out, I’ll be getting this as my go-to refresher flavor. I’d rate this a 10+/10– it’s that good.
Toasted White Chocolate Iced Coffee
This coffee is Dunkin’s regular iced coffee mixed with pumps of toasted white chocolate syrup. This drink tasted similar to my regular order from Dunkin’, an iced coffee with caramel and vanilla, so I wasn’t very impressed. The toasted white chocolate syrup is similar to the French vanilla syrup that they have year-round ,so I wouldn’t necessarily rush to get this flavor because it’s nothing crazy. I still enjoyed the coffee, and if I wasn’t so obsessed with other drinks on the holiday menu, maybe I would get this drink again. I rate it a 7/10.
Raspberry Striped Croissant
This croissant is exactly what it sounds like: a butter croissant striped with raspberry filling. I absolutely love Dunkin’s croissants, so I was excited to try this. I wasn’t let down. This croissant tasted just like a raspberry pastry and was so delicious. The only reason I wouldn’t get it again is that it was $3.50 for one croissant, which is a lot. Ignoring the price point, I’d rate this a 9/10.
This menu blew me away and is so delicious. My overall ranking from best to worst is the Berry Sangria Lemonade, the Raspberry Striped Croissant, the Peppermint Mocha Signature Latte, the Toasted White Chocolate Iced Coffee and, lastly, the Cookie Butter Iced Chai Latte. These items will be around until the New Year, so you’ll have plenty of time to try them out.
