Haunted houses preview
October 22, 2015
Haunted Houses are an integral part of October. The level of terror and volume of screams all play a role in deciding which haunted house is the spookiest. Around the Cleveland area, there is a multitude of haunted houses to pick from, each giving off a different experience.
A fairly popular haunted house that many people attend is 7 Floors of Hell. It is located at the Cuyahoga Fairgrounds and is open Thursdays through Sundays, from 7 to 11 p.m. 7 Floors of Hell is a part of American Haunts, a group of top rated haunted houses in the nation, and features seven separate houses: House of Nightmares, Slaughterhouse, Mental Ward, Shadows, Bio X, Circus of Death and Walking Undead. No matter the amount of houses customers would like to go in, they will still need to pay the full priced admissions, but can go into each house an unlimited number of times until 7 Floors of Hell closes. Each house gives a different experience, so while paying the price for one haunted house ($23 for General Admissions and $33 for SpeedPass Admissions), customers will experience the haunts of seven different houses.
Rated one of the scariest haunted houses in Ohio by WEWS news, WJW Fox news and WKYZ news, is Carnival of Horrors. Carnival of Horrors features various characters such as clowns, scarecrows and psychopaths. Insane Asylum, The Fun House, The Wicked Woods and The Freak Show are the four main attractions at Carnival of Horrors, each including different types of scares and fears for the customers. Carnival of Horrors is located at Blossom Music Center and is open Fridays through Sundays, from 7:30 p.m.to 11:30 p.m. on Fridays, 7:30 to midnight on Saturdays, and 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets for General Admissions are $21 and $25 for the Speed Pass.
Bloodview is another popular haunted house located in Broadview Heights, Ohio. This haunted house has been around for 35 years and continues to haunt those who attend. For $20, customers can get unlimited trips through the three different attractions for the night. Each night presents a new experience; all the characters improvise and do not stick to the same script, so one’s experience on Friday may be completely different on Saturday. Bloodview is an interactive haunted house, meaning that the characters may touch the customers, but will not grab them. Bloodview is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 8 p.m. to midnight for $20 and on Sundays from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. for $10.
